Kolbe House

The Archdiocese of Chicago’s prison ministry is strongly supported by the Office of the Diaconate. Indeed, many of Chicago’s deacons and wives—over a dozen—work with prisoners. Kolbe House is an agency of the Department of Parish Vitality and Mission of the Archdiocese of Chicago that deals directly with those involved in the criminal justice system, and recognizes that the incarcerated are often victims themselves, and the system is larger than any of the individuals in it.
